Who is running the two-day workshop?

Darren Jamieson
Marketing & Communications Director

TEDx-speaker Darren has been in the field of digital marketing since the late '90s, and has worked with brands such as Sony, the NHS, the Environment Agency and as the in-house web designer for GAME back in 2000. He’s been in digital marketing so long, when he started Google wasn’t the largest search engine and the dot com bubble had yet to burst. Working for agencies around the UK, he has witnessed every Google update, seen every trick to manipulate search rankings come and go, and has formulated search marketing strategies that have seen clients stay at the top for over a decade.

Digital Marketing Manager

Graduating from the University of Chester with a First Class degree in English Literature and History in 2019, Emily originally joined Engage Web as a Web Content Editor in 2020, and progressed to the role of Digital Marketing Manager. She spearheads Engage Web's Facebook Ads processes, delivering professional social media advertising campaigns tailored to clients’ carefully profiled audiences. Emily also takes a lead role in teaching and mentoring within Engage Web's workshops, masterminds and online training programs.

Do I need to bring anything? 
Laptop! You will need to bring a laptop with you, as you will be creating your very own membership subscription site during the workshop, and launching it.

Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not provided, although there is a Costa, Subway and WHSmith located nearby, and a sandwich van arrives just after 12 noon.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is free parking available at the visitors’ car park at Rossmore Business Village, as well as on-street parking nearby.
How can I get there if I don’t drive?
Engage Web’s workshop space is located within walking distance of Ellesmere Port and Overpool train stations. The Overpool station is a 25-minute walk away, and the Ellesmere Port station is a 20-minute walk away.

Can I bring my dog?
We have actually been asked this question, hence we've added it here! While we all love dogs at Engage Web, and we'd like nothing more than seeing a dog in our office, we're afraid we can't allow attendees to bring their dogs with them in case other attendees have allergies or fears of your canine friends. Guide dogs and assistance dogs, however, are of course welcome.
